An Entertainer in the music industry can benefit from the services of a professional and reputable, working booking Agency. In the music world, agents are different from talent managers. Agents are the people that actually book shows for the Musician, Singer, Band and Group they represent. They make all of the arrangements with the Promoters of the Concerts and Gigs. The booking agent presents the promoter or producer of the concert with a performance agreement, which stipulates the artist’s requirements.
This is an extensive five page eighteen clause music legal contract including but not limited to the following clauses: confidentiality, exclusive agency clause, agent’s duties and compensation, drugs and alcohol clause, arbitration and termination. The Independent Entertainer is not employee, nor partner, nor agent of the Agency.
This Agreement between the independent Entertainer and the Agent is drafted in plain English that is easy to read and comprehend. The Agreement may be filled in on your computer or printed out and filled in later. Your Lawyer will draft any and all other clauses for your Project’s unique situations and circumstances.
Our contracts are based on the principles of contract law, are country neutral and may be used in Australia, Canada, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Sates or any country whose legal principles are based on the English or American Legal System.
Our legal contracts for music writers and composers, music agents, music recorders, music producers, musicians and singers, music distributors and music marketers are used by: Alternative bands, Ambient musicians, Blues Bands and Blues singers, Classic Rock Tribute Bands, Choral Ensembles, Country and Western Bands, Country Rock Bands, Country singers, Dance Bands, Electric and Electronic Bands, Folk singers, Hip Hop singers, Jazz singers, Jazz Bands, Jazz ensembles, Polka Bands, Rap singers, Rap groups, Reggae Bands and Reggae singers, Religious Groups and Religious Bands, Religious Singers, R&B Groups, R&B Bands, R&B Singers, Rock Bands, and International Bands and International singers.
There are two form of this Agreement. There is a contract for minor musicians, singers and dancers who have not reached the age-of-majority in your jurisdiction. The minor’s contract includes a Parental/Guardian signature. The second contract is for all others.

This Agreement is entered into between the above named and below signed Entertainer (hereafter called the “Entertainer”), and the above named and below signed Agency (hereafter called the “Agency”).
The Agency is a going concern that specializes in booking Entertainers for pay.
Be it known that the Agency is familiar with the musical skills, abilities and professionalism of the Entertainer and that the Agency has the business expertise, management ability, requisite music industry contacts, financial resources and desire to assist and promote the Entertainer in the furtherance of her/his/their career.
HENCE, in consideration of the promises, and of the mutual undertakings herein contained, and for other good and valuable considerations, the above named and below signed Entertainer and the above named and below signed Agency Representative agree as follows:
1. The Entertainer hereby employs the Agency as the Entertainer’s sole and exclusive Agent (and adviser) for the term commencing on _____________ 20__ and continuing thereafter for a period of ________________________________ (days/weeks/months/year(s).
2. This Agreement is effective throughout: ________________________________________________________________.

3. The Agent’s duties shall be the following:
(i) to use all reasonable diligence and make all reasonable efforts to assist the Entertainer in negotiating for and procuring employment wherever the Entertainer’s services may become available to accept such employment; and,
(ii) whenever reasonably requested so to do by the Entertainer, to consult with, counsel, advise and assist the Entertainer in all matters relating . . . continued
