Music Legal Contracts

An Independent Project can be a risky business. Any one making a loan to an Independent Musician, band r Singer/Vocalist will probably require a Guarantee signed by a Guarantor. The situation in which a Guarantee is most typically required is when the ability of the borrower to perform her/his/their obligations under an Agreement is in question, or when there is some public or private interest, which requires protection from the consequences of the borrower’s default or delinquency.

A Guarantor is the person(s) who agrees to be responsible (guarantees payment) for the debt or obligation of another, the Independent Filmmaker/Producer/Investor.

This Agreement is drafted in plain English that is easy to read and comprehend. This is a “Short Form” one page legal Agreement.  The Agreement may be filled in on your computer or printed out and filled in later. Your Lawyer will draft any and all other clauses for your Project’s unique situations and circumstances.
