Exclusive Distribution Agreement
As an independent band, independent singer or independent musician you will have Master Recordings from your studio or live performances that you will want duplicated and distribute. You will sign a music distribution contract with a music and song Distributor.
This six page, eighteen clause music legal contract includes but is not limited to the following Clauses; exclusive distribution, mechanical licenses, confidentiality, compensation, owner covenants as to rights and licenses, assignment of rights to Distributor, and dispute resolution.
This Exclusive Distribution Agreement is drafted in plain English that is easy to read and comprehend. The Agreement may be filled in on your computer or printed out and filled in later. Your Lawyer will draft any and all other clauses for your unique situations and circumstances.

Our music contracts provide legal protection for music writers and composers, music agents, music recorders, music producers, musicians and singers, music distributors and music marketers and are used by: Alternative bands, Ambient musicians, Blues Bands and Blues singers, Classic Rock Tribute Bands, Choral Ensembles, Country and Western Bands, Country Rock Bands, Country singers, Dance Bands, Electric and Electronic Bands, Folk singers, Hip Hop singers, Jazz singers, Jazz Bands, Jazz ensembles, Polka Bands, Rap singers, Rap groups, Reggae Bands and Reggae singers, Religious Groups and Religious Bands, Religious Singers, R&B Groups, R&B Bands, R&B Singers, Rock Bands, and International Bands and International singers.
There are two forms of this Agreement. The first contract the Distributor earns royalties for services rendered. The second contract the Distributor receives a one time compensation/payment for services rendered.

Herein this Agreement is between the above named and below signed Owner of the musical composition(s) and/or performances (herein called the “Owner”) and the above named and below signed purchaser of Distribution Rights (herein called the “Distributor”).
Herein this Agreement the term "Records" shall be deemed to mean all transcriptions, duplications, encoding or any other method, now known or to be later utilized, used to duplicate the Musical Composition(s) and/or performances including, but not limited to, phonograph records, audio cassette tapes, digital audio tapes, compact discs and Internet Downloads.
The Distributor is a going concern, which specializes in the distribution of musical compositions.
HENCE, in consideration of the promises, and of the mutual undertakings herein contained, and for other good and valuable considerations, the above named and below signed Owner and the above named and below signed Distributor agree as follows:
1. The Owner hereby grants to the Distributor the Right to “ exclusive distribution” of the Musical Composition(s) and Performance(s) of the Master Recording(s) listed in Appendix “A”, attached hereto, under each Composition’s current title, including Composer’s names (herein called individually and collectively as the “Master”). The aforesaid Master is to remain on the _____________________________________________ label, however, the Distributor will be allowed to add to the label that the Record is distributed by____________________________________________, the Distributor.
2. The Owner represent and warrant that she/he/it is free to enter into and abide by the terms of this Agreement and that the Owner is the sole owner . . . continued
8. The Owner represents that she/he/it;
(i) is free to enter into this Agreement, and that this Agreement does not violate the terms of any Agreement between the Owner and any Third Party; and,
(ii) that, in connection with the recording of the Master, all costs of recording, Musicians fees, and Royalties, if any, to any . . . continued
