Does anybody know a site where i can see how rappers
contracts really look.

There are a couple of contracts you will need. One for the song. One for the song’s publishing. One for any record deal. One with any band members or anyone who may or may not have an obligation against your tracks (say the demo studio).

Also, contracts are just an agreement between two people (or entities) trying to exchange one thing for another. What is it you are looking for? A major record company becoming interested? An indie company? All contracts are different, and most are NOT in favor of the artist.

If you already HAVE a contract offer, for goodness sake, take it to a REPUTABLE entertainment attorney. If you do not have one yet, then it’s somewhat irrelevant. If you are trying to find out how much you can make (or perhaps be advanced) or other such curiosities, that would depend on your sales, airplay, following, peripheral sales, all of that. I would advise not entering the music business in order to make money. It’s not a good business plan, percentage wise, and certainly is not solely based on talent.

If you are trying to find out if YOUR major offer is competitive with a major star, go to a major attorney and find out. 😉
