Is it normal for property management to withhold tenant names from landlord?

Question by Cutman: Is it normal for property management to withhold tenant names from landlord?
I received an anonymous letter from someone in my tri-plex stating that a tenant is playing loud music. That the place smells like pot, and that even the cops were called once because of domestic violence. And that my property management company hasn’t helped them at all.

I would really like to talk to my tenants directly about the resolving conflicts. But my property management company will not give me their names or phone numbers.

I thinks it’s because they don’t want the tenants reveal how bad the company is.

it is a privacy issue. Would you want your names and numbers passed out to the world?
