Question by boycie: Is signing Michael Owen the transfer of the season for Man Utd?
ok so he has injury problems but he is on a performance related contract so theres real incentive for him, and everyone knows what a proven World class goal scorer he is when on form + its a chance for him to link up again with Rooney like he has done so succesfully for England in the past. So is it the shrewdest transfer of the summer or do Man Utd fans think this is a step in the wrong direction and would prefer to see younger fresh blood?

In terms of value for money, it is the transfer of the season, because it is free. The other issue is also he used to play for Liverpool, so we will see how both fans respond to this. Cant wait till the season starts!
