Phony Avenues (original song)

Hello, everyone! I hope this holiday season is treating you well 🙂 As 2009 comes to a close, I’d like, first and foremost, to thank each and every one of you for your continued kindness and support. Simply put, I wouldn’t be posting these videos if I thought no one was watching/listening, and in these uncertain times, I think that staying connected and sticking together is especially important. Next, I have a few updates: In November, I was invited to perform for the 12th Annual Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert in Chicago. The audio for the event was recorded, so once I get my hands on a copy, I’ll post my performance here along with a few photos from the event. 🙂 I’ve also recently signed with a small publishing company to hopefully get my music into films/commercials down the line. Search PreludePublishing on Youtube and please subscribe! There are some amazing musicians signed to Prelude whom I know some of you would really appreciate. Lastly, I finally gave in to Facebook! Search “Alain de Courtenay Music” and feel free to join me on yet another social networking site, haha. From there, you will find a link to an interview that I did for Papermag a while back. 🙂 As always, please enjoy my little video of a few words set to music. www.myspace.com www.facebook.com Phony Avenues © 2009 Alain de Courtenay So I couldn’t be What you wanted All you needed Just wasn’t me So I had to set you free But now I’m haunted I feel defeated And on my knees Do you miss me? I pray you do
