Be very careful of using emusic to download your songs. On Sunday I bought a small mp3 player that came with 50 free songs from e-music. Actually here is the link http://www.emusic.com/… their site stated “Start downloading your FREE MP3s today and take 30 days to decide if you like eMusic. If you’re not 100% satisfied simply cancel before your trial period ends and you’ll never pay a dime. Keep the 50 FREE MP3s as a gift just for checking out eMusic.” on their site e-music claimed they need my credit card for activation so I registered to check it out.
I searched for the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Bon Jovi, Modonna etc. Nothing. My searches came back with a message telling me that e-music can not offer these artists at this time for this price. I could not find anything at all played on Q101, 103.5, B96 nothing at all. So I downloaded Christmas songs and decided to cancel the service within one day.
Not so fast, I emailed custumer service because they do not have 1800 number. The person who e-mailed me back said this to me
“I have read your message, unfortunately as the terms of the offer accepted were agreed to, we cannot refund the charge of $ 11.99, however we can certainly offer some suggestions for artists to download, so you’ll still get the most out of your subscription” “I am sorry to say there is no wording during registration that states if you are not satisfied you can cancel and not be charged.”

What?!!!!!

what does this mean?????

They would not refund me the money even though I was with them for only one day. They said I downloaded music and gave them credit card so they can charge it and they can not do refunds.

I told them this is not fair, asked for manager they didn’t want to give me manager, finally manager repeated the same thing for me that ” We cannot refund due to first, the no refund policy agreed to during registration, second the agreement to the confirmation of both the offer and the charge during registration, and third the use of the subscription downloads.”

I did not agree to anything!!! So be very very careful. I also see now on yahoo answers a lot of people had similar problems.
Do not waste your money there are many honest music download sites but emusic is not one of them. I also told them that I will tell everyone about my experience today, how they treated me and the manager told me to go ahead he could care less.
