Question by beanerboy: Who suffers more from illegal music downloading. Record Companies or the Artists?
I just want to know because i want to download the new artic monkeys cd. I would really hate to hurt them in any small or tiny way but the record companies can go to hell.

Both are hurt, but I’d say the artist is more since they can only rely on themselves, not the hundreds of other artists on one label.

However, they still make a lot of money from concerts and merch.
